Recording Unsung Heroes, my talks for The Essay about the importance of librettists to opera and musicals. They'll be broadcast on Radio 3 in the week beginning 16th June. They were recorded in my own library under the skilled and supportive guidance of producer Torquil Macloud.

Delighted to have been commissioned by Radio 3 to write five talks for The Essay slot on one of my favourite topics - the way in which librettists are consistently underrated in the world of opera. The title is Unsung Heroes and it's transmitting in mid June.

A photo with my very talented cast Gary Downie played by Paul Antony and John Nathan Turner played by Richard Unwin at the end of a very well-received run of Me and Him and Who. The photo was taken by our brilliant director Sean Mason. Thanks also to our indefatigable producer Gareth Kavanagh without whom none of this would have happened. A tour is being planned. I cross my fingers it comes off.

Exciting news from 5064 Productions in Manchester. They're planning a stage production of ME AND HIM AND WHO my play about Who producer John Nathan-Turner and his partner Gary Downie in Manchester for January 2025. I'm going up in November for a pre-production planning meeting.
